Within the project “Implementation of Consumer Neuroscience and Smart Research Solutions in Aromachology” (NEUROSMARTOLOGY), no. 2018-1-SK01-KA203-046324, the first transnational training activity was held between May 26-31, 2019 at the Institute of Štefan Náhalka in Poprad, Pedagogical Faculty, Catholic University in Ružomberok, where all 8 project partners took part from Slovakia (3), Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, Denmark and Germany. The main coordinator from the SUA in Nitra presented the concept of “O1 - Methodology of data collection from the field of aromachology”, followed by a discussion among the partners about joint indicators for creating the methodology of aromachology data processing. All participants talked about the current state and conditions for the application of aromachology in partner countries and discussed about potential places from application of aroma in each country.

The training allowed to introduce the developing concept of a smart technology for data collection and processing focused on creating a reference database of aroma preferences, and explain how these technologies will be implemented into the practice. A training on evaluating software outputs measured with neuromarketing techniques was also provided.

Within the program, the participants visited the company Chemosvit Fibrochem during an excursion and discussed about implementation of aroma in this company for obtaining data on how aromas influence the employers in their daily work. The participants were also trained on emotion measurement methods, consumer sensory analysis and setting scent/aroma profiles.
