Why abroad:
Study abroad offered me the opportunity to acquire an entirely new knowledge in a different field which has helped enhance my career opportunities. Studying abroad offers the opportunity to explore and experience new life in different environment. You meet different international students from all over the world, develop lifelong friendships, learn new languages and become culturally aware of what is going on in the world. The year before I got accepted for my master’s study I had visited Slovakia, Nitra and FEM, I must confess here that, after travelling and studying in other countries in the EU, Slovakia eventually won my heart and became the country of destination for my master’s study. The country is so beautiful with nice and friendly people. Nitra is commonly termed as the student’s hub of Slovakia. The University is in a very beautiful and serene environment and located in the heart of the city, within walking distance and that makes both student and city life very interesting.

Benefits to study in Slovakia:
I am highly honored to be a proud Alumni of FEM, being an Alumni of FEM means, I am well endowed with knowledge and that is the most important benefit of study in Slovakia. FEM has provided me with a sound and solid academic and professional foundation which has contributed to shaping my future and personal development. FEM has so many opportunities in stock which are made available for students to access. Some of which are study abroad programmes, Exchange programmes, an opportunity to learn different languages and also participate in Chinese Confucius Class. Being a multilingual is useful for multinational enterprises in today’s global world and places you a step ahead of your colleagues in the job market, all these credit go to FEM.  In FEM students have the opportunity to take part in international scientific conferences and meet with guest lecturers and professionals who are academic and industry experts from different companies, organizations and universities. This helps students identify their career pathways and develop skills that are highly valued by employers.  I participated in some of the lectures of these professionals and they were very useful in helping me to decide what I want do in the future. The professors in FEM are among the world class, Students are therefore offered the best training to be formidable analyst with strong research background. Immediately after my Master’s study I decide to pursue a Ph.D. study in Economics at FEM. My primary fields of research are in the area of Development economics and Agricultural economics with a specific focus on Agrarian Trade policies.   In general, FEM is an amazing faculty with friendly students and experienced professors who prepares students as fully baked Economists. Students who leave FEM have a much deeper understanding of the world around them and the forces which shape it as well as the confidence in their own abilities knowing that they can go out there and make a huge difference.
