Requirements for evaluating publication activity usually include several general criteria: the quality of a journal should be expressed by certain indicators/quantifiers such as impact factor, SJR, or h-index, indexing in databases such as Web of Science (Current Contents Connect) or Scopus, etc. Therefore, attention should be paid to sources that provide this information.
The impact factor is searched for only in the Journal Citation Reports (Thomson Reuters) database.
The SJR indicator (SCImago Journal Rank) can be found in the Scopus database or on the SCImago Journal Ranking website.
The Hirsch index (h-index) is available in both the Web of Science and Scopus databases.
