The new EU agricultural policy in 2028-2034 and its impacts on Slovakia

On February 5, 2026, a workshop entitled The new EU agricultural policy in 2028-2034 and its impacts on Slovakia was held in Nitra, at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Slovak Agricultural University. The event focused on the upcoming Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the EU after 2027 and its expected impacts on Slovak agriculture and rural areas.
On February 5, 2026, a workshop entitled The new EU agricultural policy in 2028-2034 and its impacts on Slovakia was held in Nitra, at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Slovak Agricultural University. The event focused on the upcoming Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the EU after 2027 and its expected impacts on Slovak agriculture and rural areas.
The workshop was attended by more than 180 participants from among farmers, the professional community, researchers, environmentalists and the media. The discussion focused on budgetary changes, environmental requirements, generational renewal and challenges related to climate change.
The event also included ECOUNITY DAY, during which BirdLife Slovakia presented the issue of sustainability in agriculture and the importance of educating students of economic faculties in the field of natural resource protection and climate issues.
The main goal of the ECOUNITY project is to raise awareness of university students and local actors about sustainable green development and to strengthen cooperation between universities and non-governmental organizations.
