Meeting with students as part of the ECOUNITY DAY initiative

On December 9, 2025, a meeting with students took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ project entitled "Ecological Awareness of Sustainable Green Development: Cooperation between Universities and Local Actors" (No. 2023-1-SK01-KA220-HED-000161639). The event was part of the ECOUNITY DAY initiative, which represents one of the key outputs of the project within Work Package No. 5. Since the project emphasizes the involvement of target groups in environmental education activities, the participation of students in ECOUNITY DAY is also part of the conditions.
On December 9, 2025, a meeting with students took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ project entitled "Ecological Awareness of Sustainable Green Development: Cooperation between Universities and Local Actors" (No. 2023-1-SK01-KA220-HED-000161639). The event was part of the ECOUNITY DAY initiative, which represents one of the key outputs of the project within Work Package No. 5. Since the project emphasizes the involvement of target groups in environmental education activities, the participation of students in ECOUNITY DAY is also part of the conditions. The meeting was attended by first-year students from the Accounting and Business Management study programs, a total of 61 participants.
The meeting program, conducted in the form of a professional lecture, was divided into three thematic blocks. In the introduction, Assoc. Prof. Tóth presented the ECOUNITY project itself, the significance of the ECOUNITY DAY event and explained the main goal of the project – to raise awareness of students of economic faculties about sustainability and environmental protection.
Mr. Ridzoň presented the ecological aspects of the CAP in Slovak conditions and, finally, Prof. Pokrivčák paid attention to the connection of the CAP with the EU environmental policy.
