FEM again revived the young science

The interest of young students in science confirmed the high number of participation of young researchers in this year's Student Scientific Conference, held on April 22, 2015 at SUA in Nitra. Student Scientific Conference was attended by 35 students, including 11 foreign students from Russia, Romania and Hungary. The competition was divided in three sections: International Trade and Marketing (English section), Economics and Quantitative Methods (English -Slovak section) and Marketing and Management (Slovak section). The evaluation committee consisted of representatives from practice, from the ranks of teachers and students FEM. Besides the possibility to verbally present the results of research, the competitors have opportunity to publish their results in the Proceedings of the International Conference of Student Scientific Conference.
Prize giving ceremony was held at common lunch of all presenters, committee, organizers and the faculty management. Competitiveness of students had good measure, because it was also fight of 1st place, where winners received a cash prize of EUR 200, 2nd place with 200 EUR and 3rd place 100 EUR. Position of researchers in the sections was as follows:
International Trade and Marketing:

2nd place: Dávid Bielik: Functional food as a new trend in consumer behavior
3rd place: Oluseyi Kehinde Olagunju: Consumer's Preference and Willingness to Pay for Local Rice over Imported Rice in Nigeria
Marketing and Management:
1st place: Soňa Pleváková: Launching a new product on the Russian market
2nd place: Soňa Bírová: Retail environment and its impact on customer buying behavior
3rd place: Petra Ďurkáčová: Environmental accounting
Economics and quantitative methods:
1st place: Adriana Jurdová: Comparative analysis of regional competitiveness in the SR
2nd place: Martin Jamrich: Regional disparities of business environment in Slovakia
3rd place: Zainab Aina Usman: Analysis of selected food crops supply response to inflation rate in Nigeria: An implication for food security
Congratulations to the winners and we hope that they will represent Faculty of Economics and Managemet at International Competitions of Student Scientific Conference.
