This year, FEM also participated at the ErasmusDays initiative through the Erasmus + KA2 Strategic Partnerships project "Implementation of Consumer Neuroscience and Smart Research Solutions in Aromachology" (NEUROSMARTOLOGY), no. 2018-1-SK01-KA203-046324.
The online meeting and presentations were part of the event "How to use aroma marketing?", which took place on October 16, 2020 from 9:00 to 12:00 through MS Teams, where students and employees of the SUA in Nitra, but also the general public was invited. A combination of interesting topics involving different fields of aromachology was prepared.
The organizational team included Ing. Jakub Berčík, PhD. (DMT FEM), Ing. Jana Gálová, PhD. (CREP FEM), PhDr. Anna Mravcová, PhD. (DSS FEM), Ing. Katarína Neomániová, PhD. (DMT FEM) and doc. Ing. Vladimír Vietoris, PhD. (DTQPP FBFS).
The host Vladimír Vietoris firstly invited the dean of the FEM SUA in Nitra, Dr.h.c. prof. Dr. Ing. Elena Horská to open the event, welcome the participants and share some information about the successful activities of the faculty and university within the Erasmus+ program. She also mentioned the 2nd anniversary of the opening of the Laboratory of Consumer Studies, which provides space for research carried out using consumer neuroscience including the field of aroma marketing. Within the main part of the program, the project coordinator Jakub Berčík, who is also the director of the mentioned laboratory, took the floor. He introduced the NEUROSMARTOLOGY project, its main goals, partners, planned activities and outputs.
Subsequently, project partners Mgr. Karol Čarnogurský, PhD., Ing. Anna Diačiková, PhD. and doc. Mgr. Peter Madzík, PhD. from the Catholic University in Ružomberok (Faculty of Education, Institute of Štefan Náhalka in Poprad) presented examples of aromatization research in production. After a short break, during a panel discussion led by Katarína Neomániová another project partner, Martin Klučka from Aroma Marketing, s. r. o. explained examples of aroma marketing in practice and answered questions from the participants. In the next part, Jakub Berčík showed how aromatization research can be carried out in the field of trade and services, followed by a Q&A session with discussion, where the most active attendees received small gifts from SAAIC (Slovak Academic Association for International Cooperation). The positive feedback received from the participants proved the successfulness of the event.
