Double degree students in London

The Faculty of Economics and Management offers its students a double degree masters study program International Economics and Development in cooperation with Middlesex University in London. Graduates can obtain not only a Slovak diploma and the title Ing., but also a diploma from Middlesex University in London with the title MSc.

During their stay which took place 26.3.-30.3., 6 students of the International Economics and Development program and 1 FEM teacher participated in a study trip to London. Students had the opportunity to attend selected module lectures at Middlesex University. They also took a tour of the premises of the London university, which included not only classrooms but also a gym, tennis club, or a “living room” for student leisure activities. Exceptional was also personal meeting and joint lunch with colleagues from the University of London who participate in the processing and administration of our study program.

The students also had an intensive program outside of school and during their stay they saw all the famous monuments and sightseeings of London (Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey), and also visited a lot of interesting places for example, the British History and Natural History Museums.

The effort of both cooperating parties is that the students of the double degree program have the opportunity to experience Middlesex University’s atmosphere every year during a short study stay. We believe that our students gained many new experiences and knowledge and that the successful cooperation with Middlesex University will continue. Double degree students of the International Economics and Development program could have another similar opportunity to visit London again next year in February. It is certainly a very good motivation for potential candidates interested in this masters study program. Except this motivation is this program also an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in masters studies and looking to gain a competitive edge in the job market.
