Doctoral studies

Scientific research is one of the basic priorities of each individual, given that it is a specific faculty in the accreditation of the Accreditation Commission of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Slovak Republic, but also its evaluation by rating and ranking agencies. Among the faculties of public universities in the Slovak Republic, FEM has a special professional position and a long-term stable position due to its educational and scientific research activities. That is why FEM is regularly evaluated as one of the best Slovak faculties of economics. In 2015, FEM SPU has rated the third-best faculty of economics in Slovakia according to the independent agency ARRA. The long-term goal of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the SUA in Nitra is to be one of the best European research institutes and to connect science and research with practice, to participate in solving international, national, and local scientific research problems. To this end, increased emphasis is placed on the quality of education and its connection to research, especially at the doctoral level. The Faculty of Economics and Management has been offering doctoral studies for more than 55 years.

The doctoral study aims are to prepare the student for independent and creative scientific work. The research work of the faculty is focused on current tasks in the field of business economics, business management, marketing approaches, banking system, international politics, accounting, food safety, price transmission, agricultural consulting, international trade in agricultural and food products, and bioenergy, not only level of the Slovak Republic, but also in a broader international context. The quality of education is due to the considerable achievements of doctoral students in the form of the President of the Slovak Republic Award for Student Personality of the Year, awards for scientific and social institutions, as well as various financial support for students' scientific work within foundations operating in Slovakia.
