Welcome to IP Podkylava 2014

„ The Position of Agriculture in Regional Development“

Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra , Faculty of Economics and Management organize the Intensive Program entitled „The Position of Agriculture in Regional Development“ which will take place from 27.04.2014 to 10.05.2014 in the region Myjava in the agro farm Podkylava.

The IP allows the participants directly contact with agriculture and create opportunity to observe interaction and multifunctional of agriculture in the all aspects of region. The objective is to teach the students existing theories on multifunctional rural development, sustainable agriculture and competitiveness of rural areas.The aim is to highlight importance of position business subjects in the region, to understand the role connections and functions of the subjects in regional development.

Among the main activities of Erasmus IP belong:

  • Building theoretical backround on related topics is taught by teachers and experts
  • Organizing study trips and educational excursion – the aim is involved the participants in to the problems, providing practical view
  • Active participation on study trips – questionnaire, photo documentations, data collection
  • Teaching and implementation new interactive approaches
  • Active team work practices
  • Preparation of final report and presentation of the results

The Faculty of Economics and Mangement

The Faculty of Economics and Management, Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra (FEM) was established on 1st of September 1959 and nowadays ranges among the most important economically oriented faculties within Slovakia. The main aim of the Faculty is to provide university education on a scinetific basic. Students can obtain a high level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The Faculty consist of 11 Departments and 4 units offering 12 study programs.
