Between March 1-7, 2020, the second transnational learning and training activity C2 was organised at our partner company REIMA AirConcept GmbH in Meerane, Germany. The event was held within the Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnerships project "Implementation of Consumer Neuroscience and Smart Research Solutions in Aromachology" (NEUROSMARTOLOGY), no. 2018-1-SK01-KA203-046324.

The project coordinator is the FEM SUA in Nitra and Dr. Jakub Berčík, other partners include the IŠN PF Catholic University in Ružomberok, Aroma Marketing, s. r. o., University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Poznań University of Economics and Business, Universitas Miguel Hernández in Spain and SDU Innovation and Design Engineering, University of Southern Denmark.

The aim of the training at one of the largest producers of aromas and aromatic compounds was to understand the development and production of fragrances from blending to final sale to the end customer, with practical examples on how to work with modern scent machines. Participants were trained on area-specific aromas, scent marketing, expert aroma marketing solutions, air design, fragrance sprays and scent machines, as well as room odour removal, directly at the REIMA AirConcept GmbH laboratory, too. The program also included a visit to Selgros Cash & Carry in Chemnitz, the August Horch Museum in Zwickau, as well as many other customers using REIMA aromatisation directly in Meerane.

The activity enabled to discuss and agree on the planning of particular research stages leading to the intellectual output O2 - Creation of a reference database, which focuses on the impact of aromatic compounds on human emotions within partner institutions in laboratory and real conditions using innovative research solutions. At this event, the tools and technical solutions that will be used for data collection in countries involved were presented and explained in more detail.
